Role Summary

Reporting to the Head of Talent and Organisational Development, you’ll be a key part of our Talent & Organisational Development team.
As Learning Design Lead, you will be designing the talent development strategy that underpins our performance and future growth trajectory, in line with our purpose and values.
The specific accountabilities of this role are:
Talent Progression Pathways
- Lead the design and development of a talent progression pathway and supporting processes to support rapid career growth based on exceptional performance, through performance evaluation and measurement. This would include performance assessment processes and career progression routes.
- Bring your experience of international growth and acquisitions to our growing business, to ensure career pathways are mapped for the future of what our business will look like.
- Accountable for clear expectations and role requirements for roles across Newton, including in the Consulting team and in the Head Office functions.
- Actively engaging with external networks to bring best practice and innovative thinking into the talent development space.
Learning
- Lead the design and development of a comprehensive learning strategy to support career development, leadership development and technical development of colleagues at all levels across the business.
- Ensure a comprehensive learning strategy exists to support colleagues joining us through acquisition.
- Create learning personas to guide the design and delivery of tailored learning experiences
- Develop learning pathways that align with individual career goals and the business talent management strategy.
- Oversee and contribute to the design and development of engaging, effective learning programs using a range of different delivery methods (eLearning, F2F workshops, virtual workshops, blended learning solutions), equipping those with a diverse range of learning styles to excel in their role
- Adopt a data driven approach to assess ROI of learning programs.
- Ensure all learning content is aligned with adult learning principles, instructional design best practice and up to date learning technologies.
- Manage the full lifecycle of learning projects, from initial needs analysis and concept development to design, feedback and evaluation.
- Collaborate with business leads, SMEs and HRBPs to fully understand learning needs and desired outcomes.
- Partner with external consultants to develop programs where additional learning expertise and experience is desired
- Collaborate with the learning delivery team to assess and refine learning content to deliver continuous improvement, ensuring two-way knowledge transfer.
- Monitor project budgets, timelines and resources to ensure efficient program delivery.
- Lead, coach and support the Learning Design Manager.

We offer a highly competitive salary (£75,000 - £85,000), company performance bonus, equity participation scheme and our generous benefits package also includes Life Assurance, Income Protection, pension contributions and 29 days’ holiday.
Required Profile
You’ll be a high calibre individual, with exceptional levels of personal drive and eagerness for personal development. You will have demonstrable experience of designing career pathways and learning interventions in a professional services environment, and have a strong understanding of competency frameworks and career pathways within a consulting firm.
You will have demonstrable experience of delivering change at pace, working with stakeholders to identify learning needs, and to lead the design of interventions for both functional skills and leadership development, using in house and external providers.

The skills or experience we would expect you to evidence include:
- Significant experience in learning or talent design, showing evidence of successful delivery of a broad range of program development at all levels across the business
- Evidence of successful delivery of talent pathways, including at senior leadership level
- Evidence of successful delivery of learning interventions, including measurement of impact
- Proven ability to measure and deliver ROI from learning program solutions
- Demonstrated experience in engaging with business stakeholders, including senior leadership and translating business needs into effective learning solutions
- Proficient in range of learning technologies, eLearning authoring tools, blended learning program design
- Strong business acumen and project management skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
