Based on your skills, experience and interests, we think you’d enjoy hearing about Darius’s experiences here. He joined us from a tech startup having previously worked for a large consultancy where he focused on financial services analytics.

“For me, one of the most exciting things about joining Digital at Newton was that it’s a relatively small team, but it has big ambitions and it’s growing fast. As an experienced hire, I’m able to shape what Digital at Newton becomes.”

DARIUS ANSARI HELPING THE VULNERABLE TO COPE WITH COVID-19

When various public sector bodies identified people who were particularly vulnerable to COVID-19, they needed a rapid way to support them. Darius helped build a digital system that would empower different teams to quickly identify which households needed what support, and at what level. It was life-changing work. If you bring your career to Newton, you’ll have the chance to work on all sorts of projects that change lives for the better.

FOCUS ON DELIVERY

Having worked in other consultancies, Darius has been pleasantly surprised by our hands-on approach to delivery. At Newton, we don’t just advise from the sidelines. We fully immerse ourselves in our clients’ organisations.

Darius

“We don’t just produce strategies or write reports; we actually help to deliver change.”

QUICKFIRE QUESTIONS

What do you enjoy most about life in Digital?

Darius

“I like how much scope there is not only to support your clients, but also to shape the way the team works.”

– Darius

How have you found working from home?

Darius

“It’s been a positive experience – not least because we’ve come up with lots of different ways to help people manage it. We hold meetings away from computer screens, for example, and we encourage people to get out into the open.”

– Darius

BALANCING WORK AND HOME

We’re big believers that our people are at their best when they have time to enjoy life outside of work. So we have plenty of initiatives in place to help with that, and we’re always wide open to new ideas about how we can give people a great balance.

Darius

“We’re pretty much banned from working at weekends, which is a big bonus compared to a lot of other consultancies.”

– Darius

POWERING YOUR PROGRESSION

Progression here is an ongoing process. By maintaining a regular and open dialogue with people at every level, we can make sure they always have the support and opportunities they need to achieve their goals.

Darius

“There’s a great support network at Newton. I have regular conversations and catch-ups with the digital directors and partners, and weekly calls with people in my peer group to discuss all things digital.”

– Darius

SUPPORTING CLIENTS SIDE BY SIDE

Delivering a project isn’t the end for us. Something Darius particularly enjoys about his role is that we stay close to projects after their completion to make sure everything runs like clockwork.

Darius

“It’s really satisfying to support and empower clients beyond the initial implementation. We stick around to make sure they have everything they need from our side to be able to run with the changes in a long-term, sustainable way.”

– Darius

EXPERIENCE LIFE ON CLIENT SITE

Working on site is a big part of who we are and how we do things – it’s important for us to experience for ourselves how each client operates. Essentially, it means we can make recommendations and advise on how they can best make improvements from a point of deep understanding and insight.

SHARING EXPERIENCES WITH THE WHOLE COMPANY

Whatever your interests and passions, Newton offers plenty of opportunities for colleagues to work together and make an impact beyond their immediate client projects, whether that’s through knowledge sharing, all-company initiatives or advancing a cause that has a personal significance.

Review days

Our fortnightly review days are a brilliant opportunity not only for our people to connect with each other, but also to share ideas, bring fresh perspectives and collectively tackle the most complex challenges in an open, relaxed environment.

Inclusion and giving back

We have a number of employee resource groups designed to foster a diverse, inclusive working environment. There are also great opportunities to give back through the Newton Foundation – our people have been involved in everything from fundraising efforts for Alzheimer’s to mentoring students from underprivileged backgrounds to supporting programmes to tackle homelessness in the UK.

Darius

“Review days are brilliant if you’re looking to tap into new perspectives or get advice from people who’ve experienced similar challenges. Anyone can bring a problem that they have, and we collectively try to solve it.”
